Mission: implementing effective learning approaches principally in language teaching and intercultural communication training

In a nutshell

I am a language teacher interested in effective learning and promoting intercultural awareness through the appropriate use of the full palette of tools now available both online and offline, both analogue and digital.

I am based in Denmark where I teach, train and contribute to projects in the areas of adult vocational education and e-learning, with a special emphasis on languages and inter-cultural competencies.

Current activities include

• quality evaluation partner in the UNI-KEY Erasmus project
• teacher of VITAE, Coaching for ICT Integration course
• teacher of Introduction to CCeD course
• quality evaluation partner in the UnderstandIT EU project
• producer and co-host of Absolutely Intercultural
• tutor for The Consultants-E in Barcelona where I have authored and tutored the first online version of Trinity’s Certificate in ICT

Recent activities include:

• online moderation of EU project meetings,
• project leader of Nordic and European projects,
• project proposal developer
• lead tutor of a train the trainers course for teachers to enhance the learning process through ICT in their teaching,
• curriculum developer,
• authoring of e-learning materials for an international university consortium
• tutor and course material author for an inter-cultural competency course for teachers of adult education in Europe
• author of a handbook on implementing e-learning for disabled adults
• conference speaker, both face to face and online

I am always interested in getting in touch with potential project partners or people with good ideas which could be developed into projects.
